Candle Care
- When you light it for the first time, let it burn until the entire surface melts to the edge of the container. This can take 2 to 3 hours. If you extinguish it before then, the wax might tunnel, causing it to extinguish itself next time.
- Always trim the wick by removing the "mushroom" that forms on it; this will keep your candle clean.
- Soy wax is sensitive to heat, so it should be kept at room temperature, not exposed to the sun or very hot environments.
- Its use should not exceed 3 to 4 hours. After this time, we suggest extinguishing them until the wax completely solidifies again.
- Do not move the candle when the wax is melted.
- Its container is reusable; once finished, you can reuse it.
- When the top area where the minerals are located melts, extinguish the wick and carefully remove them.
Safety Instructions
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Never light a candle on or near flammable materials.
- Keep candles away from children and pets.
- Avoid touching the wax of a lit candle; the wax will be hot and liquid.
- Once lit, be careful when touching them as the container may be hot. Always place the candle container on a safe, heat-resistant surface. It's ideal to add a small plate, base, or similar.
- Discard the candle when 2cm of wax remains, to avoid overheating the glass and causing it to fracture.
What are wax melts?
Wax melts are wickless wax pieces that are melted in a burner with a tea light, slowly releasing their aroma. They can come in various shapes; at DeliAromas, we have them in several forms such as hearts, waffles, chocolate bars, gummy bears, and more.
All our wax melts are made with high melting point soy wax, as it is more resistant and allows us to shape the wax without it breaking.
You just need to place 1 or 2 portions of your wax melt on top of your burner, and carefully place a tea light inside the burner, right below the wax melt. Then let it release its aroma throughout the room and…
Enjoy!
How to change a wax melt for a new one?
Changing your wax melt is very easy, we recommend two different options to do it.
1. When the wax is dry in the burner, use a blunt knife or stick to apply pressure to one edge of the wax, and the pieces should come out. Then just clean up any remaining residue with a paper towel and put in the new wax melt.
2. Light a tea light and let it warm the wax a little; this will slightly melt the bottom part, allowing you to easily remove it with absorbent paper or cotton. Be very careful when doing this step, as the burner heats up quickly and you could burn yourself. Once the top is clean, you can add your next aroma and enjoy it.
Precautions and Tips
- Be very careful as the burner and melted wax can cause burns. Do not move it once lit or until the wax has solidified after extinguishing.
- Always place the burner on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not place the burner within reach of children or animals. Also, keep it away from flammable objects and at a distance of 15 cm from other objects and walls.
- Do not use for more than 4 hours, although most tea lights usually last 4 hours. If you want to continue using it, first let the burner cool down, then place a new tea light and continue enjoying its aroma.
- Keep the burner supervised whenever it is in use.
- Never add water or other liquids to the burner.
- Light the tea light inside the burner.
